Our last 2024 Driver of the Year finalist is Maurice Wright. Selected as December Driver of the Month, Maurice leases truck #4726. He began his National Carriers career in October of 2016 as a company driver and lives in Tallahassee, Florida. Maurice has safely traveled over 133,000 miles this past year and has an excellent safety record with an outstanding deliver/pickup history. His customer service skills and interactions with other drivers are exceptional. Known for buying on-duty NCI mechanics pizza while visiting our shops, Maurice considers it his way of saying thank you to those who work behind the scenes to maintain the “Elite” fleet.
Driver manager Aaron Donbar illustrates his fondness for Wright, “The color of his shoes reflects his personality: vibrant. I keep telling him, one day I am going to 3D print a turbo to mount on his infamous Crocs. Yet, somehow he never needs it! A great guy to work with, he is what makes this business fun. A go-getter attitude who communicates well. Maurice never has a frown and will easily cheer you up. There is not much else to say; he is the same you get on the phone or in person.”
National Carriers recognition includes a bonus of one thousand dollars, and each winner is now a finalist for Driver of the Year recognition which includes a ten-thousand-dollar award.
