The first Friday of each month is devoted to in-person communication with our drivers. Drivers are joined by upper management personnel for an open discussion forum at the orientation classroom in Irving, TX. This is not a “top-down” meeting. I appreciate that professional drivers are NCI’s most valuable resource and this forum is designed to discuss issues that are important to them. The meeting begins at 11:00 am with lunch provided and continues until all issues and concerns are covered. The conversation is open and honest.
The Driver Forum also serves as an opportunity for drivers to learn about future plans and strategies that NCI is pursuing. Having the input of our dedicated drivers is paramount as our company continues to lead in transporting customer’s freight. The forum gives our management team freedom to hear how future strategies will impact our drivers, their families, and our prospective business. Many changes and enhancements have been achieved due to these quality conversations.
Few companies and fewer trucking companies have a monthly
open forum with their upper management team. I feel these meetings give management an opportunity to hear first-hand what is concerning our driving force. Our skilled drivers share what we can do to make NCI a
better place to work and our management team can share plans for our company.
