In a continuing effort to show appreciation to our hard working drivers, National Carriers has awarded two lucky drivers a pair of tickets each to the Firestone 600 IndyCar Series Race. The race will be held on Saturday June 6th at the Texas Motor Speedway. The Firestone 600 is an IndyCar Series race held at Texas Motor Speedway near Fort Worth, Texas. The race is held on a Saturday night in early June. From 1997 until 2005, it served as the first race after the Indianapolis 500. It resumed this place in 2010 and in 2011. When it debuted in 1997, it was the first IndyCar race in the state of Texas since 1979. Since its inception, the Firestone 600 has widely been considered[who?] the second-largest oval track race on the IndyCar Series calendar (second only to the Indy 500) in terms of attendance, popularity, and prestige
All drivers at the “Elite” Fleet were considered. A set of criteria was developed by the Safety and Operations departments at National Carriers.
Criteria # 1 All drivers who had completed a safety class in the first quarter of 2015 were rewarded by making the first cut of the selection process . These classes can be attended online.
Criteria # 2 The Operations department considered all remaining drivers who had on time pickup and deliveries since Jan.1, 2015 for the “Elite” Fleet.
Criteria # 3 The next consideration compared fuel economy and operating costs.
Criteria # 4 The final step awarded all drivers who had been nominated for Driver of the Month in 2015.
The top ten names were then entered into a random drawing. And the winners are
Kurt Knox and Alfredo Chavez.
