National Carriers is proud to co-sponsor SHOCKWAVE at the upcoming Liberal Air Fair in Liberal, KS on September 13. Due to community support by sponsors there is no admission cost to spectators. During the day, free admission to the Mid American Air Museum is also available.
Featured Performers – SKIP STEWART
Skip Stewart is one of the most entertaining airshow pilots in the world today. This will be his third encore performance at the Liberal AirFair. He has over eight thousand hours of flying experience, is an airline transport pilot, certified flight instructor, has owned and operated an aerobatic flight school, earned gold medals in regional aerobatic competitions, served as a chief pilot for a fortune 100 company and has spent more than ten years entertaining airshow fans around the world.
Skip practices tirelessly in the airplane he custom built himself to insure the highest level of entertainment. His flying has been featured in magazines that include Smithsonian Air & Space, AOPA, Sports Illustrated, World Airshow News, Auto Pilot, as well as in multiple international publications. He is the first pilot to fly an airplane under a jumping motorcycle at an airshow and has also been known to fill in as the driver of the “World’s Fastest Dodge Ram Jet Truck”!

To Patty Wagstaff the sky represents adventure, freedom and challenge. A six-time member of the US Aerobatic Team, Patty has won the gold, silver and bronze medals in Olympic-level international aerobatic competition and is the first woman to win the title of US National Aerobatic champion and one of the few people to win it three times.
Patty one of the world’s top airshow pilots, flies thrilling, low-level aerobatic demonstrations before millions of people each year. Her breathtaking performances give airshow spectators a front-row seat view of the precision and complexity of modern, unlimited hard-core aerobatics. Her smooth aggressive style sets the standard for performers the world over
SHOCKWAVE
When Les Shockley created the Shockwave Jet Truck in 1984, he had no idea the major impact this Triple Jet Engine Monster would have on not only the Drag Racing World but also the Airshow Industry. Shockwave has literally become a National Icon.
There are many fans who say they saw this truck perform when they were kids. As a matter of fact, Chris Darnell, who shares the driving responsibilities with his dad Neal, got to ride in Shockwave at the young age of 7 years old and now he is in the driver’s seat. It is a dream come true for him.
Other attractions include tandem skydiving jumps, helicopter rides, and airplane rides for the first 100 children who sign up.
