NCI has a new emphasis for trucks operating on our Southwest Regional operation. We have taken a step back to focus on better utilizing our drivers in this important division. Better utilization will translate to more money in our driver’s pockets through improved revenue streams. It will take some time, some hard work, some mistakes, but down the road we anticipate a HUGE pay off in both revenue for drivers and reduced driver turnover benefiting NCI.
Driver managers Rob Rowe, Mike Ritchie, and Jeff Chance dispatch trucks in this division. For additional support, NCI has hired Bill Gibbins to oversee our efforts. I will be working closely with Bill to ensure the improved success of this fleet. Working closely with our load planners will be one of the keys to improving paid miles. Less sitting and occasionally stretching the area covered will translate into more revenue for drivers.
